Thanks, I've wanted this kit for a while now. Stickers should be good for a few HP lol

Relocated ac controls to the pocket area in preparation for a Frankenstein radio job.

I used a local shop here to do it. I picked up a New never installed JDM rear off a former Evo owner here on FB. It’s been sitting in my garage for over a year and I decided I wanted to have it installed. The shop I used followed the thread that is on the site where they do the crash bar alterations. The bumper wasn’t painted so that was done too. I’m very happy with the results and it looks factory and fits perfectly! I owe all the hard work to a friend who’s family own a body shop and can fix/repair just about anything.

I'm pretty sure last time I had it tuned at CBRD , they just tucked it tight to the firewall and it just loops around the oil dipstick ( I was having throttle issues). I'll take a good look at it and see if I can get a pic to make sense of it.

Got a call from the powdercoater shop. Seems they destroyed the valve cover for the race engine with whatever they did to remove the old paint. Chemical bath cratered the magnesium. Now waiting to hear how they plan on rectifying what they did. Of course this was after us drilling out all the baffle rivets and taping the holes so nothing got trapped under the baffles...

Not to mention the shipping company who's been sitting with the race engine for over a week. Never notified us they had it, and then to top it off, when we called to check on it they said we had 24 hours to pick it up or they were going to charge storage. Well a call to their customer service corrected that, told they would get it shipped to our place the next day due to their screw up.

Of course it didn't show, and we get a call from the shop that did the build saying the shipping company wanted them to pay for the delivery to us from their warehouse.

WTH is wrong with these places? Called them and said have it ready to go we're coming to get it ourselves.

I got my valve cover stripped, ridges shaved, drilled out for -10an fittings, baffles changed to removable screws, and powder coated by Detective Coatings. I'm super happy with how it came out and was recommended to them by other people here. I'd say you should check them out if you're having issues with the place handling your valve cover now.
