already needs work after driving it home, we’re assuming the IAC died. This morning I attempted to run some errands and it was stalling every time thr clutch was pushed in, couldn't keep the car alive unless it had constant throttle. I didnt even make it off of my street before having to obnoxiously keep it running back to the driveway
Anyways, going thru all the old threads, and is one of these IAC recommended over the other? there’s AC254 and AC571. I’m going to buy both now just in case, but curious what others opinions are.
Anyways popped the IAC off the silver evo, and slapped it in the new one. back to running normal after doing the relearn. the other one was toasted lol, no movement no clicks just dead.
I also thought it might’ve been a boost leak after visual inspection because the IAC’s bottom bolt to the TB is “missing” but when i pulled the IAC there it was snapped off in the TB. I’m going to attempt to back it out but worst case does anyone recognize this TB mfg/pn/etc?
I just started to tear down the cylinder head after the oil pump wheel cracked and broke the timing belt. So hopefully I don't find anything broken under the head
Just finished building the engine after 3 years and got to drive for a week at least
Looks awesome! What was the lead time on this? Any reason you went with Ichiban? Any issues with installation?
About 6 months, first one got lost in the mail and they sent me a replacement. Frontline Fab was OOO when I was ready to buy a VC, HyperTune never responded to my emails. I haven't installed it yet, hoping to have it done by next weekend since I'll be installing the IE CAS housing, IE Billet thermostat, all new OEM coolant/temp sensors, thermostat.

On my 2006 MR, at wide open throttle and shifting fast, upon release of the clutch, I had a tremendous “bang” from below the center of the car. I combed this forum and figured out its the rear differential “banging” due to the all wheel drive (and it’s been occurring on these cars since they were new, which is crazy). Ordered and installed Torque Solutions billet rear differential mounts and it is like night and day difference now. There’s still a bang, but it’s waaaaaay less now.
