somewhere on evom there was testing done on all the diff motor oils. amsoil and mobile1 10w30 Extended Performance were neck and neck and traded off in each category. So, you choose , but dont wait 7500 miles to change the oil if you go with Mobile1 E-P, still change it every 3k.

I found the testing I posted about, here is the link!!! Hope it helps!!! www.amsoil.com/lit/g1971.pdf

Has anyone used AMSOIL in lieu of the OEM fluids for the 5 speed MT, transfer case and rear diff? If so, how did you like it...any issues?

I looked on the AMSOIL website and for an 06 Evo they recommend:

MTGQT-EA
Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube (75W-90) API GL-4 : 1 QUART

SVGQT-EA
SEVERE GEAR 75W-90 Synthetic EP Lubricant: (1) quart bottle

Any feedback appreciated!

Amsoil I use in my car:

HDD Heavy Duty Diesel 5w-30 Motor Oil
EA-046 Oil Filter
Severe Gear 75w-110 SVT in the T-case and Rear Diff
ATF in the ACD
DOT 3 in the clutch line

I still use OEM 6 Speed Tranny Fluid in my 5 Speed Tranny

Hope that helps!
