Hey guys,

I ran into a little snag and I need to know if this will work.

I dont know why it wouldn't, but would the regular base lancer with the rear wiper windshield work on the rear of an Evo with the rear windshield wiper.

Mitsu is claiming close to $1000 for it and that is rediculous. I found pretty cheap Lancer ones and really dont care if it was from an Evo or not.

1000 is correct and i know this from experience. I just went on ahead and got the regular one with no wiper and i think it looks way better only cost me 270 and install was free

 

lancers dont have rear wipers so... but im sure you could possibly fix that

 

Well I just want to know if it will fit. Regardless of the rear wiper or no rear wiper, I want to get this fixed asap.

I could be wrong, but I remember reading somewhere here that the evo windshield is lighter than a normal lancer windshield. I don't know anything about the backglass.

 

Yea the glass will fit. The Evo's stock glass is a few pounds lighter.

 

So I have to remove the rear wiper correct? This is the REAR window. I need to know asap. Thanks

Yes. The Lancer rear window will fit the EVO but the lancer (like the EVO RS) doesn't have a rear wiper.

You will need to remove the rear wiper motor before installing the glass but that is very easy. I hate having a rear wiper I would do the same darn thing if it happened to me.
