HID problem

Ok I've read up on other's problems and couldn't seem to find an answer. After my HID's have been on for about 45 min the passenger side light will go out. But then the next day when i turn my car on the light will come back on. My first thought was a short in a wire or the bulb. I didn't see anything wrong with wires or the connection and the bulb looks the same as the other bulb. It's a Xenon conversion kit that I bought from a vendor on here.....

if you have a volt meter test at the connector when your light goes out to see if you have 12 volts, that way you know your wiring is ok at least

Is it possible that the ballaster on this light is just going out? Like its getting too hot and just shutting off or something?

its a connection or the bulb itself. i had the same problem and what i did was clean all the connections and switch the bulbs from side to side and found out that the bulb was the culprit.

you know what im having the same problem too, and i have an RS and have the HID on the vehicle, but didnt notice until i got onto the freeway and had someone honk at me to tell memy lights, but yeah i cleaned them up and they were good to go. some manufactures have warranty as well, maybe if you contact the vendor and see if they will send you a new one or wait it out. let us know what you find

He has aftermarket HID's. I've never had any problems with mine and i'm at 30K miles now. My car came equipped with HID's though

I checked all the connections and I switched the bulbs to the other side so I guess this will eliminate the bulb or maybe suggest the ballast....... It has to be a heat issue since it stays on for 45 min and then goes out, but then after the car cools it comes back on..... I HATE ELECTRICAL ISSUES!!!!

I didn't read the part about 45 minutes. Sounds like a ballast is about to go out. I'd start looking for another pair.
