This is the first car that is entirely in my name. I'm keeping her forever.

Just like my wife, it got old, didn't work like it use to. Rattles loud as hell. And I traded her in for somthing younger and more agile to meet my needs. Jk I'm only 25, but I'd trade for somthin better

Even tho i havent been an evo owner for very long, I knw im going to keep mine. I have always wanted a evo ever since I could remember and I was finaly able to save enough money to buy my VIII. Its paid off, so its completly mine. I do plan n buying a Brand new evo once I graduate in a couple years, but even then I still plan on Keeping both cars FOREVER!

I said I'd keep my DSM forever, now I own an EVO and am considering selling the DSM.

I Love my EVO, but something better will eventually come along.

Had mine since 03 53k and sits in the garage and hardly ever drive it since I've come back from Germany. Just feels like a shame to take her out and drive 60mph.

I dunno about keeping it forever, i might keep it as a daily driver after my next deployment overseas. Was thinking about a GTR for my next car. My Evo 8 would be great for a daily driver if I could just get cruise control on it.

I don't plan on selling it, it wouldn't worth much money if I sell it.

I agree, this thread is the FAILS hardcore!!! No one knows what the future holds. I do know that i would never keep my evo forever. People act like its gods greatest gift or something. If i do have to keep it forever, then that will mean i am a complete loser and could never do good enough to upgrade.

I don't necessarily disagree. 28 pages of Evos kept forever, some claimed by folks who've had their 4-owner, 100,000 mile '03s for a matter of weeks; cars that are bound to disintegrate when their owners can't pay the repair bills. Hell, some have already sold their cars since posting here.

Assuming you're a serious car guy who loves the art of high-performance driving, it's a decision you may grow to regret. To some with decades of experience behind the wheel it is a God's gift, a machine singular in its scope likes of which have rarely been seen before and that may never be seen again. It all depends on one's individual orientation.

I'm in my mid-40s and I've seen a lot of so-called car guys over the years. Most, who were interested in cars in their 20s, have long forgotten about it by the time they hit their 40s. I'm willing to bet that at least 80% of the folks here won't be around cars in 20 years. That's just how the cookie crumbles. I like your attitude and I appreciate the frank text. Mark my words and think back in ~20 years.
