Who's Gonna Keep Their EVO Forever?
Well so far my plans are to keep it forever! Athough plans do change. I still owe 3 more years on the loan and after its paided off I'm going to be looking into getting one of the new GTR's!
the past 2 months have been hell on my car (been hit 2 times and I rear ended someone friday and plus my trans has been acting up a bit) and I've honestly caught myself thinking about getting rid of the car.
But then I have nights like tonight where I get to drive her hard and she runs well, shifts perfect and just puts that huge smile on my face that won't go away.
If I can help it I will never get rid of it. I want to pass this car along to my son. He loves it already. I want to work on it with him. teach him to love the car like I do, to respect it. That is my dream with my evo. To instill my passion for cars on him with it.

I've owned my LY Evo since 2003. It's been a head turner, a valet parking star, a performer in bad weather and everything else that I've needed. That being said, it's time to move on. As good as this car is, there is no way that I am going to forsake all other cars to make this "The One".
My first new car was a 93 Mustang Cobra. My Evo made me forget all about the Cobra, even though I can get one for only $13K used today. It may take me just as long, but I know there is a car out there that someday will make me forget about my Evo 8. Maybe it's the X.

Gonna keep my VIII forever, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna acquire other cars as well. In another 30 years I plan on being 65 years old and racing vintage class in my good old VIII =)
i dought my evo is going anywhere, it will be paid off within the next year im hoping and its not going to leave my garage, i love driving, racing, cleaning, building, anything you think of to her lol
ive already got 40k on her and it will stay forever, until i find another new evo i like ill buy but my IX will always be with me.

Ever see a 40 year old guy driving a Supra or a Grand National? That will be you in 15 years if you still have your Evo. As long as you're OK with people viewing you like you see those old guys then keep your Evo.

. But the dealer keeps calling me asking me if I want to trade my car in. I told them they're crazy
