On what I just spent and am spending on suspension and the exhaust I plan on keeping this ***** until the wheels fall off. No reason to get rid of it, not ricer, excellent performance for the price and I have made the car my own. I appreciate that alot more than paying top dollar for some production line car with 0 creativity...

lol thats the key you usually keep a car until you in a money crisis or you just want something new. i know im keeping this evo as my fast car for awhile. least 5 years or so. I agree with buchnerj after putting this much coin into it when i did not plan to i want to rock it for awhile least to get everything put together then ill work on driveshaft tranny and Tc for the complete build. im not so keen on suspension might do alittle something but i want to have one fully built car. I might get another evo X or ralliart if i can swing it later im sure next year the prices will drop considerbly on those so i could pick one up and use that as a DD keep the miles off the fresh build of the evo once thats done.

Well it's nearly a year later, and I sold the Porsche for an STi because I missed the modding world but wanted something newer and more DD-able. X was nice, but with my bad luck with Mitsu I don't trust them, plus I've always wanted a fast hatchback... So when the STis came out I was hooked, but the Porsche was worth jack **** because of the economy. Waited long enough that there were some barely used STis in great shape and my car had gone back up in value

I can safely say now that there are very few cars that can replace the Evo once you've had one. I will never ever buy a car that is not at least reasonably easy to mod. I will say that there are plenty of cars out there that I would consider though, besides just the Evo and STi.

as what everybody pretty much said, i plan on keeping the evo as long as I can, already invested too much time on it and loaded it with parts that are hard on the budget but well worth it. Hope to get a use X in the future when the price on them goes down.

same thing with me, the evo is my stress reliever. Every time I get burn out from work dealing with patients, I drive the evo and it does not fail to relieve my stress

keep it, my wife has an RDX and this thing drinks gas like a V8, very bad gas mileage. The only thing I like about it is the tech package, other than that it is a big regret for me and my wife.

03 VIII with 62K on it. Just did the 60K maintance and a ton of mods. Kelford 272's 10.5 hotside 3" tbe, megan 02. Walbro 255 and FIC 1050. I can't believe how this thing rips now. People at work complain about snow. I look forward to it. Paid if off a few months back, ITS ALL MINE! And every step of upgrades i get a bigger smile when i go WOT. But like some one said earlier, im 26 now. When im 40 i doubt ill be driving this race car around town. But im not going to get rid of it! Probably just pass it on to my kids. (If they drive it right).

I've had boosted cars over the past 10 years, always wanted an Evo just wasnt the right time. I fell into a killer deal on the GTO I currently drive (which is FS btw lol)... as soon as it goes, an Evo will take its place. Doubt I'll get rid of it..

My deal was a no brainer. I went from a 2001 Wolfsburg Edition Jetta (APR Stage 3) to an 04 BBY Evo (Stage 2). I'll always remember the day and never regret it. I love my car with my whole heart. When I work and I get in a bad mood, I just walk outside, look at the car and everything is alllllll better.

I don't know about forever, but I can't see selling it any time soon. I'm to addicted to modding it, to sell it...lol
Now that I've added a 35R to the mix NO WAY!

you gotta find a one owner car with low mileage and original clutch

there's still a bunch of them left

like me

Good Luck

before my EVO I was gonna buy the new GTO 6.0 back then (I took the 5.7 for a test drive and it was really slow) but had to wait till March.

so I bought my EVO and never looked back... FTW
