Evo does not like the cold
Anyone else notice this car really really hate the cold? This morning is was a toasty -15F outside. Luckily it was in my garage, which normally stays above freezing or at least warming than outside. Warmed it up and it seemed ok. Went home from work today at 5 (warmed up to +1) and just trying to reverse feels like my parking park is engaged. The drivetrain fluids are just that thick. I let the engine warm up but that does pretty much jack for the drivetrain. Today I stepped on it after driving 10 miles and it had some get up but yesterday it felt sooo slow. I don't know if it's because I have boost creep from it being so cold (stock atm..) or because if I have a boost leak.
I'm doing 30K mile service in a few weeks + oil change. I may try to go a boost leak test but does anyone else notice the evo being slow in sub-zero temps?

-15F is definitely underneath the 10-30w oil rated protection maybe its time for a good synthetic in the drive train. The air temp does move the load cells around a bit and the stock computer tries to boost less in cold weather. A tune would certain make the car feel more peppy in the colder weather.
I've found for my personal car which is still basically stock plus basic bolt ons the car likes the cold weather. The only thing my car hates is the 7000ft altitude change up in tahoe where it lost a lot of boost.

yeah, Evo's hate the cold more than I have seen in any other cars I have driven. . .once you have driven it for about 10 minutes and the juices are warmed up, it's all buttery good. . .I also just had the tranny fluids all changed out, so, that certainly helps with everything. . .
