Where to get boost gauge tubing?
hey,
My boost gauge (autotechnics AC S7) came with some hard plastic tubing that connects to the gauge with a compression sleeve and nut. Unfortunately, it's not long enough to reach from the a pillar to the passenger side firewall hole and up to the fpr line. I bought some soft plastic/rubber tubing but it doesn't work with the compression stuff cause its just too soft and slips out.
Does anyone know where I can get more of this tubing? Or a way to use the soft tubing? I've tried pepboys, home depot, menards, hobby lobby and a few others but no one has tubing that small. I saw a post from a while ago that said an aquarium shop might carry it. Any other ideas? Thanks!

hm, I'll look for that hole fireball, I didn't see it the other night. Can you give me any general directions of where it is?
Also, did you run the line over to the fpr line still? I read in a post that there is a line on the drivers side you can "T" into as well, but wasn't sure if it would be as effective?
Thanks guys!

You normally wouldn't want to tap into the wastegate vacuum line for your boost gauge. There is also another vacuum line source you can use. It sits on top of the valve cover (upper right hand corner) I chose the FPR because it is somewhat hidden and yet still easy to get to. My boost gauge was not installed by Mitsu.

Just for later searches...I was able to get the thin hard plastic hose that came with the gauges at CarQuest. It was actually an oil pressure hook up kit, but it comes with the same tubing as well as fittings. Costs about 5 bucks.
