does anyone know if the button is suppose to illuminate when you turn the headlights on or when you actually turn on the hazards.

Mine doesn't either. But I was curious to know if there is a carrier bulb in the switch. The same type of bulb that is inside the foglight switch and headlight leveler switch.

Nope. Headlights on or off, hazards on or off. Never lights up.

 

Hmmmm well maybe im special but mine lights up with the lights on its not super bright but noticeable and its just around the triangle

 

you might have the "speshul" edition that has lights for everything so you know that it does something

mine light up when you turn the headlights on and flashes when you push button for hazard light. mabey just the rr colors do this

 

LOL i think its because our car is Red too, it explains why it lights up red

 

The Hazard Light on VIII only illuminates the triangle symbol area of the button, and only when the headlights are on.

When the headlights are on. I can LED it for ya. You can try to find bulbs for it, but mitsu doesnt sell them, they tell you to buy a new switch.
