Two guys, two mods, and a tune... in the 11's
There's so many options. More than one way to get there, but usually when people post their times, you don't see a real list of what was used to get there. In a nutshell: Wore out stock clutch and went to the QM clutch. Result: 60's are averaging slower due to learning curve of strong clutch and lower powerlevel than most cars are making that use this clutch.
The 15x8.5-17 Volks and current Hoosier tires are still being tested, so unknown benefit. The Perrin Air Filter, no intake pipes or After Market Diverter Valves. The MBC to raise the boost. Tune. That's pretty much it. Compare that to a Full exhaust, light battery, Upper Intercooler Pipe, Lower Intercooler Pipe, MBC, Intake and Filter System, Clutch, HD Actuator, O2 Housing and I think you can see the difference in parts and price is tremendous for reasonably close results. As we continue to add to our list, I believe we'll reach the 11.5 goal with a lot less money. There's a lot of ways to get there. This is just one of them.

Thanks guys, it should have come sooner. I'm still getting used to what the clutch wants, adjusting tire pressures and the two step. I'm sure the 60's will come down after some input from Fathouse last night. We have made 52 passes this year and had plenty of fun along the way.
Thanks to Tom Powell, Steve and Matt at Hoosier Tire, Yas and Colin at Swift USA, Keith and everyone at Wilson Manifolds, and my other friends and sponsors for letting me go off the reservation on this project. While this is just the foundation to build on, it has given up plenty of data to look at for future tunes and mods. I'm sure by Monday we should have a decision on what our next mod is. Our goal is to keep the total cost of the engine mods under 1000.00 to run 11.50's. Stay tuned there is plenty to come. Thanks again, Indy
P.S. Tom I know your phone is dead, you have the logs and updated run list

Congrats Indy, and 9sec9! It still blows me away that this can be done with so few mods!
But with 9sec9 tuning and the way Indy drives we all knew it was a matter of time! Congrats again Jim, and Tom. You guys rock!

Just a sneak peek at the latest billet intake from Wilson Manifolds.
We are taking a break from testing to work on future projects this weekend. Thanks all, Indy and 9sec9

I agree, E-85 + Walbro + FIC1450cc. Cost, $350 + $80 + ~$2.49/gal. You'll be up another solid 30-40awhp -pretty close to your 50whp goal for cheaper than any other alternative assuming you have access to E-85.
I think what we are seeing is the beginning of the formation of a black hole caused from the massive amouts of air those runners are flowing...not even light can escape from it!
