Two guys, two mods, and a tune... in the 11's
Quick answer on the higher mph. I leaned the 6500+ RPM range by .1 to .2 and changed one RPM row in the MIVEC by about .6 if I recall. Since I made both changes at the same time, I'm not sure at this point which did the most good, but I think both contributed to the results. Nearly all of the interval times improved, (60-330, 330-660, 660-1000, 1000-1320) with the only one of them being a few thousandths behind our previous best. The tires were brand new and the 60's were 1.72 I believe, but Indy was out of sync, so not a real good test. Also, the tires need about 25 passes or so to get scrubbed in good. The engineer told me yesterday that the compound is a very tough and resilient, therefore the need for several passes to get them ready for best results.

I adjusted it for 101 and added up to 4 degrees of timing. For Jim, we have 93, 95, 98 and 101 tunes at this point. Since I don't change fuels without retuning the car, I really couldn't answer it accurately. We did make one pass with the 98 octane tune, but using 101 and there was 0 knock, so I added the above mentioned timing. In comparison, I like the 101 by far better than the 98. Sorry, EVIL_EVO for not being too definite, but I'm just not sure to be honest.

As you can see in the videos, we are not killing the car to run these numbers. The 12.008 at Muncie was a soft shakedown pass, and the runs at IRP were in the high 1.6-.7 range for the 60 ft's. Thanks for posting those videos 9sec9.

tlcoll1, Thanks, but I was pretty dead Thursday and Friday. The last time I was at the track was a month ago and I needed to get back into the groove. The 12.008 and the 12.07 were pretty lazy launches. The 12.03 was a 1/10 better. I'm trying different air gaps with the Quarter Master clutch to see what works for me and that takes time and passes. We are going back out tomorrow if the weather holds and if 9sec9 is available. Indy

We have injectors ready for the next phase, but not till Indy rolls an 11. If he doesn't do it soon, he'll be in timeout for 30 days. Back from the 'EAST' I see.
This time its gonna happen Indy! What an amazing grass roots thread by Indy and Tom, good luck.
