Car cover recommendations
I'm thinking about living at a place next year without covered parking. Being Texas, hail happens and I already had to have my demolished car repaired once.
Can anybody recommend a car cover that's thick enough to be hail-preventing or has a force field?

I don't know about car covers, but if it's a force field your after you might want to try one of these:

On a side note I've used the Mitsubishi cover and I liked it. I dunno about it's response to hail though.

SRTRaceR04: Is that the OEM car cover? And does it fit with the wing? I'm also in the market for a car cover right now, and the one I currently have does NOT fit with the wing. And is the OEM car cover and outdoor car cover? And is it washable?
why not put an old comforter on the car and stretch the oem cover over it. it seems to have enough play to allow the cover to fit snugly even with the added padding. i know when it used to hail in fl when i lived there, i would grab the comforter right off of my bed and throw it over the car. never had a dent after the storm.

I have the Evolution, UV protection, water resistant, and breathes. As far as hail is concern poeple have listed some options. I deployed for 7 months and my car still had a smooth, clean, wax finish and it remained outdoor. The California car covers are amazing. You can always email them and see if they have some kind of thicker inner liner to fit your need. I bet you are not the first one to ask for such protection.

Yeah it's OEM one from Mitsubishi. I've heard very good things about the Cal Cover that other people are talking about, but my only experience is with the OEM cover.
It fits the wing great. The overall fit on the car is great.
It is a bit thin. I never had any troubles with anything landing on my car so a super thick car cover wasn't a necessity in my case.
And I don't know if its washable. Whenever mine would get dirty I just throw it in the washer on a rinse cycle. Then put it in the dryer on air dry. It held up for a long time (it's actually in one of my sheds as I don't have an Evo here right now).
calcarcover.com is the only way to go. e-mail kevin@calcarcover.com. he'll probably hook you up with some sort of discount
