When you first saw an Evo ___ [fill in the blank], how did it feel?
playing gran turismo on play station 1 when I was a teenager, and I fell in love a love that went so deep I waited more than a decade to get the car.

I was in my 5th gen prelude sh and cruisin at about 85mph in the fast lane on gsp. Saw a evo viii coming up fast as sh*t behind me so i quickly switched lanes to see it fly by..sighhh....still vivid to me since that day.
The first evo i saw was in person was in '06 that belonged to my friends uncle...i said "o sh*t there's an evo"; my heart jumped & i got a tingly happy feeling from my stomach down to my legs. The same day I started my devious plan on how one day i'll own an MR...here i am

The first time I saw an evo was in the summer of 2003 at the Algonquin resteraunt Bolton's Landing on Lake George, New York. It was yellow, and I didn't know what it was. I was driving a 2002 wrx at the time, and I was jealous of the big intercooler and big brakes. I was disappointed because I new my bargain performance car was now in a distant second place. I had been patient the evo could have been mine. My finances did not permit me to buy a new vehicle until 2006.
I had seen a few in Dubai on previous deployments, and I thought how sick, those are way to cool for us to get in the US. Well like many others I was anticipating Mitsu to release the 7 in the states, that never happened so I went with an RSX-s... low and behold the next year the F'n EVO VIII is unveiled... Paid on the RSX for a few years and traded it for an immaculate tastefully modded, owned by a previous Mitsu service manager 05 VIII.
No offense to anyone here, but it really saddens me to see how many people were driving Hondas before the Evo. ESPECIALLY when you look back to 2003 when we had all of these "ZOMG My clutch went out at 10,000 miles! WTF!" threads on here. There was so much unwarranted bad press on the car back then.
Like I said, don't take offense to that, but we all know that I'm speaking the truth and there is a relation there.
