When I moved from Texas to Washington, I was going to get a company to get all my stuff there.

But after some of the horror stories I've heard, like people driving your car for a bit before transporting, or just scratching the crap out of it, or not having the vehicle properly pinned to the transport vehicle....

I just rented a U-Haul put all my **** in it, put my Evo on a Vehicle Trailer and towed and drove my car from Texas to Cali, Cali to Washington.

The old adage still applies: "If you want something done right, got to do it yourself."

But thats just me.

You do whatever. =)

There are various auto moving services online, do you homework and see who has been used and has satisfied customers.

I used one when I sold a car, but it was four years ago and I can't remember which company it was. :-(

I am paranoid shipping my car, letting someone drive it, but i cant drive it myself because that means i have to take extra days off from work and i'll spend the same amount of money for drving. Anyways, is there something that i can turn off, like boost, or adjust rev limiter to like 4rpms, so that i can sleep better when they take my car?

thanks

maybe there is some way to order a shipping container and put it in that and secure it very well.... then have the container picked up and shipped to your new location? kinda like the pods thing, but bigger?

i have a friend who used to work for transport company, he always talked about how they beat the **** out of those cars...
i flew out to CA form IL to buy my evo and drove it back bc i'd never let it be transported.

plus if your car is lowered, many companies wont take it because it wont clear the rack

Intercity is very reliable...but a bit pricey. I would NOT suggest DAS from personal experiences.

I had no problems w/ DAS. The car arrived on time and unscathed. Although, had I been more ballin' at the time, I definitely would've gone with an enclosed trailer through Intercity Lines or Horseless Carriage. They cost twice as much though, and my bank account was already in enough pain after buying the car.

Perhaps if you are shipping it set the boost down.. Like really down. And find a way to get a limiter on the rpm.

if you're going to ship it can't you use ecu flash or something to set a low rev limiter and set all wastegate duty cycles to zero across the board. i have that on my AP is the car sucks to drive like that let me tell you.

I have used Uship for a motorcycle, and countrywide transport for my Evo from Atlanta to Ohio. Bought are good.

You guys need to search up Tephra for his valet mod. Best thing ever for those having to turn the key over.
