SES light on, and then off again?

Today I was driving and my SES light came on, and then about 10 minutes later after I had shut the car off and turned it back on, the light was gone and didn't come back on all the way home. Should I be concerned or was it just a fluke?

Go to AutoZone and get the code scanned. Could be bad gas could be phantom knock, could be a major problem you proactively fixed before it cost you $$$. Or you just installed a exhaust component and now your back O2 thinks you are running without emissions control.

How am I supposed to do that if the light is off again? I don't have any new exhaust components.

I've had that a few times. Shows up and disappears. I'm guessing p300 cause of Cosworth M2's, never managed to get it scanned before it went away.

The code is stored in the ECU... So although its no longer popping a CEL you can still see what it popped it for.

+1 , more than likely it's the p0300 code.

I'll check that out but I highly doubt that's what the problem is, my car is rarely in the rain anyway. I drove the car today, no light. Think it was just a fluke.
