fixing a boost leak
If it is at the intercooler piping or any pipe connection where a clamp goes, unbolt the clamp move the coupler around a bit to reseat it, then retighten the clamp. If it is at the throttle body, move the throttle cam, and if the tone changes hit up Aby@mil.spec and replace your throttle body shaft seals. If the leak is at your BOV we need to know which BOV you have. Since you have an VIII the stock BOV is plastic and is probably leaking from there... if it is leaking from the BOV your best bet is to purchase a new BOV of your choice... most people will go with a IX metal BOV if running less than 28 PSI...
i am guessing the leak is coming from the bov because i was messing around with the stock bov to do something and after i put the stock bov back it started leaking but how can you check where the leak is coming from?

Build one find the leak for sure. Don’t guess if you have one you may have more. The stock 8 BOV leaks but it leaks into the intake track so it should not affect drivability. Also how much boost are you running how do you know you have a leak? Any relevant mods?
