dvd Screen Gauges

I have been thinking, and when i get my eve. I want a clean gauge set up. I Know that the skylines have the in dash tv with gauges running through that. I wanted to know if you could do such a thing for a evo. Get a aftermarket TV/ DVD player in your car, and run all your gauges threw that screen like boost wideband oil press maybe a few more.

what about the EvoScan GPS Navigator. Not sure if it could do all the gauges you want.

Magden also offers a set up called the M.1b. Im about to take that route myself very shortly. Even though price wise, it is a bit expensive, I still think it'll be a clean gauge set up vs. me sitting down thinking im flying the space shuttle

Get the Defi digital unit, or the Defi HUD unit, either one of those would work great as well.

Do any of them work as well as a dvd player and can be a radio head unit

Does anyone know if these setups provide more lag than is desirable? I don't like gauges that aren't straight up mechanical, but i imagine that digital gauges through an interface like that would take longer to display data, but it may not make that big of a difference, opinions?

Most of the hobby quality digital gauges I have seen are 10 Hz and that will be slow. I am not sure if that matters except for rpm and boost. Find a home for a mechanical boost gauge near the stock dash and go crazy with whatever amuses you. Defi, HKS, PLX, etc

Only race quality stuff like PI research, maybe AEM, etc are going to be 100 Hz or faster on the updates.

Definitely great looking, but remember... these might be illegal in your state. Any interior monitor in view of the driver can be illegal.
