EVO dilemma

Well, I went and checked it out. After driving a white EVO at Hays here in Nashville,TN last week, today I went to Jim Reed Subaru and drove the WRX STI. The STI might be faster on the straights, but I found myself a little troubled with the handling, kind of cumbersome. I would not say the interior was better than the EVO both are very "Spartan." I could not stand the seats. I also could not handle the vibration in the wing and front air scoop. They seemed to vibrate over 50mph. All in all, I feel the EVO, for me, is the more fun car. The EVO makes me want to drive and investigate its limits. The STI is a fast car in it's own right, but it doesn't have the correct sports car feel. Thanks for all the input and advice. Now all I have to do is barter and get the right deal. I think I will shoot for Blue-bye-you or Silver. Any thoughts?

Blue-bye-you looks sweet....just not sure how well that color holds up as far as fading goes. At least with silver its hard to tell and hides the dirt well.

There have been some good prices posted around Atlanta if you are willing to cross the boarder.

I have the blue and love it. I was skeptical at first, but I've really become attached to it. It is so blue that you could be in the dark and still know it is blue, or so it seems. I thought the silver hid the detailed contours of the car a little too much.

Good luck and best wishes!

I don't mind going to Atlanta. Is there any particular dealer you recommend?

Blue By You is a great color, when I purchased mine it was the only color my dealership had. I really like the Apex silver though and would have got silver if they would have had one, but the blue looks really good.

bodacious,
I got mine at Rick Case in Duluth. I’ve chronicled my purchase in a couple threads. Just do a search and you’ll probably find them. I got mine below invoice. I’ve heard of good prices coming from Troncoli and Team Mitsubishi. The only problem is that they look like their running out of stock. I was at Case yesterday for my new car orientation and the only Evo they had was the silver one they have been using for test drives. I wouldn’t touch that one with a 10 foot pole.

Good luck and best wishes,
f86sabre
