The steering wheel airbag is not an issue. It pops off quick and is easy to do without instructions.

The passenger dash airbag is a total pain in the *** though. For whatever reason Mitsu designed the upper dash pad as one piece along with the airbag cover unlike other cars where the airbag is attached to the dash cover.

So this means replacing the passenger airbag = removing the entire dashboard and buying a new upper dash pad due to the hole in it. It took me a few hours to remove and install and about 1 month of searching on this forum to find the upper dash. Dealer sells them for around $400.

Or you can bondo the hole in the dash (which looks ugly) but you'd still have to take the dash out to replace the airbag.

Thanks, I was hoping not to goto the dealer, but I have been watching the forums for awhile, and I think that I might have to goto the dealer for it. What about the steering wheel airbag, is that another purchase I need to get from the dealer as well... Also do I need to reset a sensor, or get new sensors?

The steering wheel airbag can be had on here for $80-100, don't get it from the dealer it's way too expensive.

The SRS light will be on once you replace everything and to reset that I usually send my modules to a guy who runs this website, can't think of the URL right now but I'll get it for you. Basically you send him the module and he resets it for $50 and ships it back in 1 day. He removes the permanent fault codes that remain after the airbags have deployed removing the SRS light.

Just make sure the 2 crash sensor things on the radiator support are not damaged.

I have a couple passenger airbags for sale if you'd like one.
