Walboro installed, won't turn over..
okay so i feel like an idiot, unless this pump is bad..
i've done fuel pumps a few times and always with success.
i installed a new walboro 255 lph in my evo, got everything plugged back in, crank the car and it tries to turn over just barely for about a second or two before nothing and just the starter is going.
if you try and crank it then stop and almost immediately try cranking it again, the car won't even turn at all; however, if i pause briefly, the car will try and turn over.
when i turn the key to ignition on i do not hear the pump firing on, it's only while cranking to i hear the walboro doing its thing.
any suggestions while i go ahead and pull everything out?
just out of curiosity what is the blue wire that is wired into the harness that plugs into the pump do?
thanks,
j.

okay pulled it out, saw that the walboro cap was off center.. i noticed when disconnecting the lines they were dry. problem: pump wasn't able to pump fuel to the lines.
solution: toss the crappy walboro cap, and reuse oem
car fired right up and runs fine now..
glad that was nice and easy; however, i lost one of the 6mm bolts that holds the black ring over the top hat down.

i could have told you that lol have a whole guide to walbro install and many many others on my website but yea i had the same problem but mine was black oring was not parrell in houseing so pump was not building fuel pressure. took me 6 hours to figure it out on my own as i do all my own installs and NO evo shops even close to me.
i had the exact same problem! but my car misfired badly so i messed with the coilpacks (waste of time) to figures out it was that cap thingy under the rubber grommet i forgot to take from the oem pump
pretty much junk left over parts for the win buying the evo install kit was a waste of 2 extra dollers i only used the small plastic locking clip
