When little kids see your Evo.....
Okay...I have another one to post...
I'm at the local mall going into Golds Gym...this black '05 STi is nearly racing up and down the parking lots. We are in my borthers '05 WW Evo 8 and this STi guy keeps driving by all taunting and fast...I'm thinking wtf? this guy has nothing better to do...so my bro and I watch him...he litterally drove up and down lanes at least 5 times...I don't know what the hell he was trying to accomplish besides waste gas LOL!

Hahah, just happened today. While I went to go pick up my brother from school, a bunch of kids looked out their window and smiled at me while at a light. Funny thing is, those kids were also in an Evo and I'm guessing their dad just picked them up from school too.
Had my Evo for 2 weeks now. I already have so many stories but I'm just going to post the two for now..
Day 1 - Did not tell anyone I was getting the car or even hinting at it. I had the money saved up and the plan to trade my Jetta in. My grandmother was my insurance agent so it was easy to gather all the financial information and do my own calculations without parental helped. Got the car and took it home. My mom came out with her eyes popping out of her head and jaw dropping. She was able to some how stumble wheres the Jetta out of her mouth. She was dissappointed I did not tell her plan, but she was glad to know all my calculations came out with me affording the car and having plenty left over. My step brother (He has an 06 GTO 6.0L) looks at the car when he gets home and thinks its one of my friends. I'm sitting in the living room and he asks me whose here. I looked him straight in the eyes and said noone thats mine. He instantly grabbed the keys hanging in the kitchen and went to go drive it and look it over. It was a Friday night and every Friday the car guys go to the Promanade Shops (out door mall). I showed up and everyone was asking eachother who it was and pointing the car out and giving the car all the looks in the world. I got out and the entire night heard nothing but compliments, girls wanting rides, friends looking it over, and a whole bunch of people yelling nice car as they drove by.
2nd Day - My stepbrother and I took our cars to the icecream shop (Evo and GTO). My stepbrother bragged and bragged about how his GTO was faster and looked better the whole night before. I chuckled it off and just kept telling him we would see. We got to the icecream shop and stepped out of our cars. Instantly I had people complimenting our cars, whispering to eachother, giving the cars their looks, and wanting to look at them. I popped my hood he popped his and people gathered around as we went to go get ice cream. I was standing in line when some girl comes up to me asking me if she can touch the car. I did a double take and was confused. She asked again and I looked at her with a weird face and said I guess? (most awkward question I got so far). So I got my ice cream and walked over to my car with her and she rubbed it weirdly and I chuckled at her. It was hard to talk to her with all the questions I was receiving. I'm known in my town, so I was no stranger in my town. I was getting questions like when did you get it? How fast does it go? How many miles? What engine? Anything done? and my personal favorite.. Think you can beat that GTO? (
). I was just amazed how 2 cars made a little car show at an icecream shop. I took the girl for a ride and she ended up hanging out at my house. On the way to my house we found out the Evo could keep up to the GTO

Damn dude, that's more attention then I got in the Evo, Porsche, and this car combined!
And I had the Evo the last 3 months of high school even.
Hell, I only ever had two girls come up to me with the intention of talking to me about the cars, and that was the Evo both times. The best was the girl that said "Evos give me orgasms" damn me and my young inexperienced self!
The S2000 I had before the Evo... that's another story. Everyone in high school knew me, even if they didn't know my name, they still called me "S2000." Thank God for Dad wanting a midlife crisis car more than buying me a cheap civic, and thank Mom for saying "well your son needs a car to drive to school!"
I've had a Decepticon sticker on the past 3 cars. My mom babysits my cousin's kids sometimes, one time a few months ago her oldest (4 yrs) noticed the little red Decepticon symbol on the STi and said "Oh, Jake's car is a badguy!!!" all excited.

i went to a dealership a few days ago to test drive a 95 nsx they had just for fun. the salesman was acting like he knew a lot about cars. he started talking to me about mine. first thing he says..."what year is your subaru?"...all respect was gone
Most of the coments/compliments i receive are from the kids. Occasionally I might get attention from someone who knows what it is, but most of the time older people just look at me like im a highschooler who put a big spoiler on the back of the car : (
HAHAHAHAH! To salesman "let me take these keys from you because you obviously don't need them... retards can't drive"

Yes Coopersburg, PA is a very small town with 1 mall that everyone goes to. The ice cream shop was part of the out door mall. On a Saturday everyone is walking around the out door mall and when your standing next to your cars eating ice cream. Everyone who knows you is going to come up to you when you bring a new car. More people attract more people. Thats how it worked out.
I got pulled over and warned for driving my evo around the block 3 times. Apparently your not supposed to drive the same small path more than twice? There was a cop sitting at cop station watching me (my dorm is right above the cop station) and he pulled me over when I got in my parking spot and asked me what I was doing. I said I just changed the plugs and was making sure the car was running right. He laughed and said, "well I respect you doing the speed limit, so I'm giving you a warning". Why in the world are you not aloud to drive around the block more than twice?
When kids see my car, they know I'm at work. I'm a teacher and ALL the kids know my car. Which in our small town is not always a good thing.
The best was one night at Blockbuster a plump man talking to his girlfriend about how he would rather have a Chevy than that "tuner". They then jumped into their corsica and drove away.
