Wideband Bung

Where should I have the Bung Welded on my Downpipe for my Wideband bung? I have a Works Downpipe. For my Evo IX MR Any suggestions?

At least 24 inches away from the turbo and forward of the catalytic converter. Ensure it's around the 3 o'clock position.

Thanks. When you say 3 o'clock position is that tilted towards the passenger or driver side.

The wideband should have had instructions with it IF you bought it new. if not... It states 36" from your Turbo. And Yes, 3 o'clock is the passenger's side of the downpipe.

Yah didn't buy it new. Its an AEM Eugo. I wasn't sure if the MR was any different. Or if the 8 placement was different from the 9.

Just put it in your stock rear o2 sensor bung (assuming you're not running a cat).

Just put it before the cat and you should be fine. Or else you're going to get incorrect readings.

What's this on page 2? An aptly named thread! https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-question.html

I've seen manufacturers that say NOT to weld it at the 3-o'clock position because of the risk of condensation building on the sniffer. It's recommended to weld it no less than 10 degrees and no greater than 75 degrees to the horizontal. I have a diagram in the thread linked above.
