FIXED! Camshaft sensor was broken and was glued! thanks!

 

I had a similar situation a few months ago, where the car just decided it didnt wanna hold idle anymore... It could be a # of things, but (for me) it was a wire on the fuel pump sender unit that had been pulled out ever so slightly, (not the clip, but one of the other 2 wires) and at the same time I had a coil pack that had taken a poop on me...

Could be your battery, or alternator... I needed a new battery while I had this prob. and the battery ended up dying on me like a month l8r...

Have you had any "symptoms" before the car started doing this? Irratic idle, etc...

 

I had a similar problem with my evo 8. Car would stall out and die in neutral.

Problem was intermittent for a while, until it just would not idle at all. It turned out to be the idle control valve on the throttlebody. When they go out there is no code thrown.

 

No symptoms b4 battery is 2 month old, I hear like a steeper motor clicking when the car turns off, where are the fuel pump wire?

 

What do you mean "steeper motor clicking" I had a problem like this a year ago and the battery and alternator were fine. One of my injectors was going bad and gave me a rough idle for about a month. I just swapped all of them and it's been fine since.

 

when you turn the key to ACC you can hear a buzz on the engine bay...i think it comes from the TB area...

 

it could be your motor on TB? no Check engine light?, alternator maybe? crank pos sensor? how many miles on the car? when this happen... faulty fuel pump?

check fuel pump, pull it out... check wires, around injector area.. seems like the car is not getting fuel -

 

car has 20k miles,no check light,how can i check the alternator?

 

the car must be getting fuel bc the fuel pressure reg shows 50psi

 

Kinda of a dumb question, but is the car still under Warranty? The Mitsubishi Roadside assistance may be able to tow it to a dealership.

It seems it could be one of numerous problems.

 

i had the same problem yesteray ,
i was on idle for about 15 mins and than it stsrted to sputter for about 2 mins and than died .
now its not starting ,
checked the plugs and there is spark ..
no fuel coming in the fuel return line and very less amount of fuel the main fuel line which is goin in the fuel rail ,air also coming frm there ,fuel comes than stop than again comes than stop and repeating while crancking the engine ..
no cel also
wat cud be the problem ?

If you are describing what is going on in post 11, my evo had a fuel line pop off the pump. My mechanic just had to reattach it and put a better clamp on it. I didnt have a cel when I wasn't getting any fuel myself. Evo X btw.
