How much power can a stock EVO motor
How much power can a stock evo motor make if it just the block that is stock. Why well I on the v8rx7 forum and I started a post about seeing if any has done a viper 10 swap in a rx7 and then I was like why not do a 4G63 swap and then this guy digitlsolo is being a dick. All I side I was thinking of doing a FC with a 4G63 swap and this guy is being dumb about the whole thing. I side that you can make big power on a stock block and be safe. Sorry if this make me sound like a little kid I just hate when people think they know ever thing. but they really don't no sh#t and it any can help me shut him up. That would be nice.
Thanks

I'm not sure what kind of information you're looking for man.
I would go on record and say that you can push 500whp or more safely on a stock block 4G63 (many people have). But there will probably always be a fine print that goes with that statement.
First thing to get out of the way is it matter ALL in the tune. You can get the parts to do the power, but the longevity is going to be tricky with a half-*** tune.
Next would be what's the purpose of pushing all that power on a stock block? If you're doing a budget set-up I guess I can see that. But building your engine just to be safe when you're running higher than 500whp couldn't hurt (if you can afford it).
And lastly (although I'm sure there is a lot of other points to make) each engine is different. I'm sure guys here can attest to seeing Evo engines blow with an exhaust and intake on them. Not all of them are going to hold the power. There are SO many variables that can cause premature failure in a number of critical components and then take the engine along with them. Sometimes even when you're sure you're 100% safe a small overlooked part can wreak major havoc in your engine bay.
If it comes down to trying to win a pissing match with non 4G63 owners then yeah I would say that the stock block can hold over 500whp (like I said it's definitely been done). But debating it just seems kind of trivial and pointless. If you think that the 4G swap into an RX7 will produce great results and you're aware of what the engine can do, I say do it. That's the best way to shut up naysayers and back up your claims.
Although technically you shouldn't have to back up anything because modifying, racing and showing cars is supposed to be a hobby that we're all supposed to have fun with. The line seems to get really skewed sometimes....

Anything much over 450whp it's not going to last long as a DD. That's about the limit from what I've read here. Some get away with more but some have 450 for 2 weeks and spin a bearing or throw a rod. It depends on setup and tune but I wouldn't feel comfortable much over 450 on the stock block for sure.
There's crazies out there running over 600 on the stock block but it's anyone's guess when the inside of their block will see daylight. Probably more sooner than later.

I am right above the 450 hp mark and at 410 torque on the stock block and this is my dd. You have to have a safe tune and not go crazy on it. My tune and boost are turned back from what the car can do until I build the motor up this winter. Just have to be smart and not drag it when it's like this on the stock block. Oh, and anything way over 450 is like playing Russian roulette with your motor, eventually she's going to go on you... Good luck.
this is a question with multiple variables
daily driver?
track car?
drag car?
beat on regularly?
if you search around you'll find various 500-600 whp cars on the stock block
how long will the motors hold up is another story

First off, i cant understand anything you typed bareley. @nd, those guys are not even saying anything bad. One time, one guy said "you think your going to build a 500 hp stock block 4g63 and have it be safe? Your crazy". thats all this thread is about? That post?? Just face it, your not going to do the swap anyways, and from the sound of it you wouldnt know how to.
