Code for clutch slipping??
The other day my clutch slipped while I started accelerating onto the highway and the service engine light came on. Is there a code for clutch slip?
On some cars they do have a code for it but when my 05 mr started slipping there was no code thrown. The only odd code i've gotten is if I stalled the car then its an erratic crank/cam sensor code. Just take it to advance or autozone and have them check it out for you. Good luck hope its nothing serious.

No Im sure it was the clutch. I put my new bov on, went out for a drive to get it adjusted properly, then got onto the hiway and punched it in 4th gear to do a wot run and see if the bov was holding to redline, and at about 4500rpm it free revved up to redline and then I noticed the service light was on.
no code for "slipping clutch". its likely that ur wot pull caused something else to go bad at the same time your clutch slipped.
go through the steps.... check your codes, and go test the clutch (putting it under load).

It is possible that the clutch slipping (if that is what happened) may have caused something else to go wrong. But the clutch alone can't set CEL's.
I know you said you don't want to strees the clutch becaus you need to to last, but the only way to be sure the clutch is slipping is to make it slip. Doing it once or twice isn't going to do any harm.
4th or 5th gear, off boost, up hill at 45mph. Go full throttle and see what happens. If it doesn't slip under these circumstances, your clutch is good.

It's possible you just blew the EGR valve line off during the WOT pull. It happens all the time.
For all you/we know your slipping clutch has nothing to do with the CEL code. Could just be a coincidence that the clutch slipped at the same time. You can't exactly verify that the CEL came on the instant your clutch slipped.
+1 on making your clutch slip just to make sure.
