CEL Po170. Help

Im going crazy trying to figure this out. Ive searched all over this forum with no results. Please someone try to chime in and help. The scanner reads a po170 (Fuel Trim Malfunction Bank 1). Is this an 02 sensor???

Because of this CEL it seems my Gas MPH has dropped significantly

Car: 2001 Evo 7
Mileage:8,000
Mods: catback,Cone filer, BOV (came with car), everything else. stock.

my gas is killing me and im tired of seeing the light.

Thanks in advance

i doubt the BOV is causing the CEL though. the scanner reads Bank 1. so it cant be that. i thought it was at first due to the car running rich for a second between shifts

Your gas mileage has dropped because your O2 sensor is bad and has your fuel trims pegged rich. It has nothing to do with your BOV.

i vented my stock dv because the hose was cracked and got the same exact code.

Check all your IC piping. I was throwing that code and it ended up my IC was starting to get loose at the bottom where it connects to the throttle body (It looked visually fine but I started hearing more noise then normal when boost started to build).

Threw this code when J pipe gasket was screwed on my old modded IX turbo. A simple boost leak test found it right away. New gasket from mitsu and I was good to go

Boost leak test the car man
