Thanks for the input. I'm a big step closer to finding out what I've got as I finally got the tranny out. Dropping the subframe ~3" made all the difference.

If there is metal bits in the oil filter.....I would go ahead and buy a new oil cooler as well, as you will find bits and pieces in there as well.

I'm sure you're right. I do wonder if an air over solvent high pressure flush wouldn't get it clean though.

Here's the problem!

Notice the bearing tangs missing from the center bearing since it had spun. Also, it's not showing copper because all of the copper is missing. I found it in the oil pan though.

More points for Mr. Previous Owner. How well did this thing run with these spark plugs?

It is irksome though to be fixing damage that was preventable and to replace stuff that's just missing. How does one lose a radiator fan?
My buddy has a 06 mr stock, and one day his radiator fan fell out, bolts werent tight from factory I guess....

oil pump failure most likely. Take the oil pump pulley off and look closely at the bore in the front case. Also don't forget to take apart the mivec cam gear. That thing can hold some serious amounts of metal.

From the initial pics it looks to be a TB IX MR? What a way to mistreat a rare car. I hope you get her fixed right.
