That's nuts! I'd be scared of lifting the car off the stands with a small blip of the handle.

Major carnage is only a moment away if you're not careful.

glad to see someone taking the time for this neglected car. Hard to imagine someone would pay that much for an amazing machine just to let it go to waste.

Any future plans when you get the engine fired up?

Regarding mods?

No real plans other than to start with a tune and see where that leads.

Teenager owned and you can guess who had bought the car and then tired of paying for repairs.

After priming the oil system with the coils unplugged, three more seconds of cranking fired it up!

Haven't found any leaks or other issues and it's running really good.

Now on to other issues: The center gauges for boost and temp were not connected to anything. Is there a preferred location to tap into for boost and to what does the temp gauge connect?

temp gauge: there is a wire that connects to the oil drain plug. Since you dont' know this something must be cut off. It is wrapped with a white abrasion resistant sleeve.

Or do you mean nothing was connected to the back of the gauges?

Did you have to turn the crankshaft?

I had wires coming from the back of the gauges, but they hadn't been connected to anything and it wasn't apparent to what they should connect.

On looking closer, what I thought was an elbow on the hose to the boost gauge was actually a "T" with one leg broken off. That was an easy fix and connection.

I have a regular drain plug and no sensor to connect to the gauge.

The crank was replaced.

I'm working on the oil cooler brackets and will post pics when complete.
