Love seeing vendors like this. Sorry you had the trouble with it, but at least they're fixing it with a quick turn around.

and to think i had it all done .....

o well alittle extra work never hurts. I went ahead and replaced the rear roll stopper motor as well since it was easy access with Intake mani off. that thing sucked to get off and change.

Im changing all my motor mounts back to stock, 2.3 + no balance shafts = sucks with hard mounts.

ya. thank god for boost leak testing. its something every turbo car should come with by default. it can also save you from a catastrophe as well if you have a fuel leak or something bad.

gave me an excuse to remove all the aftermarket motor mounts also. im not dealing with a ****ing earthquake equipt evo.

Hopefully MAP compensates you for the time involved in removing the IM. Every shop makes mistakes and map's doing the right thing by replacing the defective product but that doesnt make up for the time he's lost with the install/uninstall of the product. Overnight shipping both ways should be expected, not a privelage.

That's a little crazy there to ask for labor money. Most performance parts don't carry a warranty said or implied.

Welding cast aluminum or cast anything you tend to create gas pockets sometimes. It happens map is doing the right thing.

Sounds like Bob is getting you taken care of sir, I will also respond via PM. I sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and as Bob mentioned all of our manifolds are supposed to be pressure tested before they leave our facility, I will be having a word with my fabrication team...

so ill update this thread to let everyone know that map is sending fedex here overnight to come and get the manifold and fix and send back with new gasket. Not surprising though, because I've always had great experiences with this vendor. My clutch, injectors, exhaust manifold port, and a slew of other parts were all purchased from MAP.
