I was a little sceptical on the RedTops as I have seen two go bad this year on Brand New 430 Scuderia's. But I have found out that those redtops are from Italy, who know's how long they were sitting around.

Again guys, thanks for the advice.

Another note: after I changed the battery, I lost idle. It just kept dying at stoplights. I let it idle for about 10 minutes to I guess do an idle learn and it seems better, but I do stall every once in a while.
My car did that after I replaced the battery. Looking at my volts gauge it looked like when at idle during a cruise or stopping at a light the volts would go down to like 12. It eventually stopped but idk if it was the battery or the ecu.

The owners manual actually talks about the need, or potential need, to allow the ECU to relearn by allowing an extended idle period after replacing the battery.

The 35 fit right in. I didn't use the adapter. I just cut about and inch off of the stock battery hold down j hooks.

194k miles + stock clutch = bringing the win!

If youre thinking about modding it I'd go small battery though. Makes the intercooler pipes a lot straighter, nicer. And makes bov/dv fitment a lot easier.

Eh na, I thought that was the best part of the thread. I see he already bought his Red top (I was going say it just like everyone else for OEM size battery but I didnt; gave him my 2c on if he wanted to mod it later). Carry on

I did think about a mini battery, but I have seen too many go bad up here in the cold. Most of our race cars have them and they only last about 2 years.

Maybe in the future though.

Were the 35's terminals in the correct orientation or did you have to flip it around?

Can anyone speak from experience on the differences of the Red top vs the Interstate. I'm looking to replace mine soon.
