can someone with an 03 evo tell me if the CEL is illuminated when the key is in the on position without the car turned on. i noticed that mine is never on. which wont be good once theres a problem. thanks in advance.

Solution: burnt bulbs.

Yes, ones you turn the key on, Ce light should lid up. Probably burned out. Just change it, 2 screws under, and 2 holding the cluster... you have to play a little with cluster to get it out.

 

yea it should be on and shortly go away after turning engine over...for some reason I remember hearing mention of a plug that disables CEL when unplugged, im not positive tho. did u just pick up the car or have u owned it for a while?

 

the bulbs were burnt. now i have to hunt those down. thanks guys.
