The things that get you pulled over are speeding, tint, loud exhaust and maybe modified lights. I think the wing is at the bottom of the list. It creates some attention but it is not the reason. You need a good radar detector, V1/Escort/Bel and pick your roads carefully and know the locals and their favorite spots. Being middle aged as some say will not get you out of a ticket. I know this from personal experience. I would have a perfect driving record if it weren't for the cops. :-). 27 years and not one accident but lots of speeding tickets.

I am personally VERY sorry if you do have to sell it. The Evo has been a dream car of mine since 17 (23 now) and i JUST bought mine LAST THURSDAY! I haven't had it long but geez i love this car. I cry a tear for you sir!

i hat how cops stereotype cars with loud exhaust and wings as a street race and always amuse they are speeding and racing. I was leaving a car show and my buddy did a burn out in his charger and i get pulled over for attempting to street race and get a loud exhaust ticket B f..in S

knock on wood but i think that cops do stereotype but really i drive by cops all the time full ground effects kit, original wing on, rims, some stickers. don't really get a second look. i think part of it is when you look at cops, they pay attention to you. I ignore cops and drive normally when i see them. ^^

While I haven't been pulled over in months now, I do understand your dilemma. My record is 5 separate tickets in 1 month in my current 350z. I had them all dismissed, but still, it was agonizing. I'm 23, still in college, and on a "somewhat" tight budget. Take it from someone in almost the same situation, keep your car.
