Lancer Evolution RS Thread [MEGA MERGE]
I still don't understand why manual window cranks as well... it's more expensive than a mass production electro-motor and a couple of switches and I bet it's not lighter either
No ABS is OK, no A/C is OK, everything else makes sense but power-windows don't. They could have made solid windows or something...

The Ferrari F40 has power windows, because it is lighter...

By the way HID, ABS cannot be added to an RS.
I just want the Front LSD. I wonder what the part # is?
I think I am more bothered by the Evo losing to the GT3 and Z06. The GT3, I can understand, but the Z06. That bothers me.
needs to get their thumb out of their butts and make some hp with this car. I see no reason to give up the comfort of my Evo for the RS if it is still going to lose to a Z06 that has AC, stereo, and leather seats.
claims the RS is for the track, and it got beat on the track. What is the point of a stripped Evo that is going to lose.

I really don't know why every RS thread has to be quickly turned into "Why the RS sucks and whoever is considering it is stupid".
Maybe it isn't for you, that's fine. Just don't say how your Evo is so much better and how it's let Mistsu down by loosing to a car 25K more expensive at the track.
Part of what makes the Evo great is four doors and a useable back seat...if both were free I'd still take an Evo over a Corvette just because it's more practical.
I would prefer power windows, and a radio, but the RS fits my price range better...and I like the look without the wing (body colored door handles would be nice though).
So relax, the RS isn't out to be the best Evo ever...just another way for people to get into/use the car.

Relax.....hmmmm. I said my car is more comfortable than the RS, not "so much better".
I also made no such comments about potential RS drivers being "stupid".
I do not insult fellow drivers. My target was
and the car.
My Evo is the same as the RS, except it has the standard features of a 30K car. As for the RS being a track car. Most people can not tell the difference between the two, unless you are a certified driving instructor, race driver, or magazine writter. I am neither of these.
The point is the RS is less expensive and more people can get into it.
I want the actual high performance version, the 35K car that will beat the more expensive cars, not the car that shows up, looses, but gets a gold star for being affordable.
I also understand that this thread is being hijacked by anti RS comments so this is my last post complaining about it.

. ECU retuned and new exhaust and z06s will be on the list of kills.
i think it's awesome that they're coming out w/ this option for the consumers!
personally i've always wanted the all-out evo.. but everyone has their own taste and needs.. i use mine for work, fun, practicality.. and i like having my HID's, A/C, power sunroof, wing (an evo legend, c'mon!), power windows etc..
to each their own! bring on the rs!!! more choices is better!
my advise though to all who are considering an EVO: think real hard about it before jumping into an rs... make sure you really really won't be adding these things slowly.. just the HID's will probably be a good grand to add..

Lets all hope that with the RS coming over maybe Mitsubishi will keep adding to the list of what will becoming available for all of us Evo owners. I for one am happy they will have the RS with the front LSD. I just hope I can put one in my Evo. This is a positive for all of us Evo owners. Although it is not a car for me I will keep my 03 due to it being a daily driver for the most part and do not want a car without ABS and EBD. But to some it will be be a great rally/track/autocross car and ABS gets in the way with just about all of these.
Mitsubishi Evolution RS

I went to Schumacher Mitsubishi in North Palm Beach and they had never even heard of the RS. There was one guy there, a manager I think, by the name of Barry Lehman who was a total ***** about it. He said there was no such vehicle or HE would not about it...I tell ya , car salesmen
