I wouldn't mind the RS w/ urban jungle package. I will be looking at a new car at the end of next year, so I hope everyone keeps ******* the RS so that I can get it at invoice.

Yardspeed/sedwards: That makes 3 of us! I traded my chrome silver 350Z Track for a white Evo! Had it for 7 months and enuff was enuff, 2 seater, no truck space. Stereo was the biggest piece of ****. I like the multi-function display, especially the tire pressure readout tho. Also the high speed stability, went 149mph and it was stable as a rock!
The Evo is fun!

 

I am probably going half on an RS with Wojo to use as a track-day beast and SCCA club rally monster... We have been planning our budget and I already have a white, no-options RS on order. This could get sick!!! Strip the interior, add cage, add coilovers, polycarbonate windows, etc., etc., etc.

I think the RS with the Urban Package will be a big hit, specially with the front LSD. Mitsu better stock up on those LSDs as well cause everybody and their freakin' granny with an EVO will be getting one.

 

Ironicly I think you're the on that should be laughed at here. Look at all the Evo's going for invoice and below now. I see a lot of them that are just sitting a the dealers lots. It's more than possible that the RS will see the same fate. When you think about it how many people are willing to pay that much for a stripped basic version of the Evo? probably only hardcore car enthusiasts.

Oh, and I'll buy a front LSD for my regular Evo as soon as they're available. Mitsu did something right for once.

 

True that! Maxed out Z twice at indicated 155-160 and it was very stable. Evo is more fun though.

 

SEWARD: Your in Austin? I live up in RR and we are getting a couple of guys to cruise around on Saturday night, kinda like a midnight run around 620, mopac, etc.

A couple of TT 350zs, evos, stis, rx7s, etc. Just cruising a big pack of supercars.

You guys that want to put a front LSD on your Evo...do you have any idea of how much Mitsubishi charges for a factory limited-slip diff at the parts counter?

I don't actually know, but I'm guessing $1500 or more...still interested?

Anyhow, I dont care what anyone says about trhe RS. I'm ordering mine in white with no options. I plan on tracking it and dragging it...
most likely will go straight to Buschur for power mods

I will add everything else later depending on what I'm in the mood for.

I already have my 99 5-speed Civic DX Sedan as my daily driver, and it has A/C !! :-P

 

That's what vendors are for, Dan! I still want one - $1,500 amortized over the 50 years I will own this car is pretty cheap...
