Evo with turboback and flash, indicated 168 and climbing, no issues .

I think you will be able to get the RS for MSRP or less seeing that you can get a loaded Evo for invoice now.

And Leather Recaro's!????
That's coming from a magazine that picked a Toyota Prius for Car of the Year.............I think those are only gonna be options.

Besides, there are no changes from the 03s to the 04s. If the huge stereo system nd leather Recaros come factory it'll slow the Evo down as that **** would weigh a ton. would want to keep the Evo as competitive as possible with the STi, not weigh it down with useless ****...........but then again this is America.....the land of the lazy and home of the SUV

The newest issue of Sportscar International has a review of the RS and a nice little piece about the SCCA Pro Rally Car.

I just got the newest issue of Motortrend (the one w/ th e2005 Mustang on the cover) and they have a small review of the RS also.

0-60 is claimed to be 4.4 sconds in the RS.

There will also be an "Urban Jungle" package available for the RS that bringd back the a/c, power windows and locks, keyless entry, and they paint the mirrors and door handles.

Yup, front helical diff = more traction and better launches. Less weight doesn't hurt either.

What issue of sports car international has the RS review?

I checked Barnes and Noble but it must have been an old issue.

I just received it on Friday, but I have a subscription so it probably hasn't come out at news stands yet.

I'll check to see what month it is in the morning.

Am I the only one who likes the unpainted handles and mirrors?

New pics of the RS EvO

Today an RS showed up courtesy of EvoNeil at the SoCalEvo mini meet today.

Got to take a look at the car and following pictures are some quick shots and comparison shots with a 2003 Stock Evo.

EvoNeil stated that this was the car that was clocked at 0-60 @ 4.4 by MotorTrend. It was stated that this was a pre-production model.

Quick observations (probably rehash):
No wing
No rear wiper
Window rollups (lol)
No Fogs
No HIDs
No HID levelers.. though the adjustment gears were still there.
Lots a space in the engine due to the AC being ripped out.

Enjoy.

Very nice.
What is "very nice"..?!
Am I missing something?

Thanks for the pics but a stripped out EVO is NOT "eye candy".

Re: Eye Candy comment.. I agree.

Its the "slight" performance gains that enthusiasts are interested in. I like the "creatures comforts" and would not buy an RS over a standard evo if I had the choice. (Again thats my personal preference) BUT this has been discussed over and over and over again in other threads...so I will stop now.

The RS is no slouch.... Sometimes LESS is MORE.

Add to the list:

No power mirrors
No center arm-rest

Aren't the tail lights (as well as headlights) supposed to be blacked out?

I thought the RS was suppose to get the rear upper strut bar from the factory instead of a dealer option?
