Are any of you guys going to put the C/F spoiler (or any spoiler for that matter) on the car after you but it?

I think Mitsu should at least offer you the option.

What are those AC buttons for even there isn't even any?
Too bad RRE already has their Evo, or I'm 100% sure they'll be getting this one!

and I wonder how much difference in insurance between the 2 will be...

Yes, it does slightly oversteer. You have to kinda take on a new mindset when driving it.
What track did you get to run the RS around? Was the lack of rear wing causing any excessive rear end movement at higher speeds?

Yes, I plan to buy a trunk lid and CF wing from a salvage yard if I can find one that is reasonable.

I think <$300 is reasonable.

After seeing all the well detailed comparison pix between the EVO and the RS. All I can say is thank goodness I made the RIGHT CHOICE of buying the EVO and not waiting for the RS. Don't get me wrong I like the RS but I know it's just not for me. Anyhow thanks for providing us the pix.

I call BS! The Evo RS will never be sold in the US! Even if it does make it here, it will be severely watered down and cost $50k.

The rear brace is mounted on the trunk floor back by the taillights so it takes up no additional trunk space, ingenious.

Mitsubishis already said it's coming here for 2004. See the February issue of Motor Trend, page 36 for the numbers. 0-60 in 4.4 and a price estimated at $27,095 delivered.

Yeah, that trunk brace takes up no room, and looks like it provides zero stiffness increase.

I'm an RS fan, but that thing is not worth mentioning

Diagonal cross bracing provides enormous gains in strength. I would say what I see in that picture is a good addition, if it's not just something that is covered up on the normal EVO.

what you are seeing in those pics is on EVERY evo.

the additional bar the RS includes is at the aft edge of the trunk floor. and is only a 2 point (tension/compression) member.

I hope to see it first hand at the Detroit auto show, but so far it looks negligible.

for those of you looking for more pics, like this bar -check out the mitsubishi press releases and photos.

Reading the info there can save alot of simple questions...and maybe help the guy that thought he would call BS

The trunk bar can be gotten at japanparts.com if you really want it. I think Ricardon bought it and there were some pics in a thread earlier. I'm not sure if the trunk bar is worth the cash - you may want a rear strut instead of the trunk bar...
