Invoice? You'll probably be lucky to find a dealership not marking them up $5000.

Okay, in that case I'll just wait till I'm ready to sign the papers and walk. If they are really bringing over 700 over for the 04' model year, I doubt they'll sell all of them between April/May and september.

All I know is that one of the 700 White EVO 8 RS's out there has my name on it!!!

I'm not poaying for any mark-ups.... *fingers crossed*

I traded my 350z Track for an Evo. You don't know a crap radio until you've listened to the Z. The worst I've ever experienced in a car costing over $10k!

Good luck trying to get the RS for invoice since they will make only 700 of them. You also got to remember that the RS targets a specific audience and there really are any alternatives (if any) to the RS. I am guessing that those who want one know who they are and so do the dealers. Markups galore.

Sedwards: did the exact same thing! (Traded 350z track for Evo). Do you get as much flack about it (from women etc.) as I do?

Here in Austin, they can't give the 2003's away. They've had the same Evo's on the lot for 4 months! I predict the 700 RS's will languish and be sold for below list. I got my Evo for invoice without trying too hard. If you decide to pay over sticker you're just impatient! IMHO...

I've been surprised by the responses. My girlfriend is glad I switched since I never drove the Z because I frankly just didn't like it that much. I only put 5500 miles on it in 14 months. One track event which was really no fun. Can't see what the magazines are hyping it for. The EVO is so much more fun to drive. Plus better interior, seats, stereo, pedal placement, steering wheel, ........ and the list goes on!

I'm just a car enthusiast, not tied to any brand. This car makes me want to go drive. The Z didn't.

I will never fret over this LOW supply HIGH demand BS every again!

The Evo was suppose to be sold out before they were even a month old. LOLOLOL all this over msrp BS is such a joke. Here in my town the Mits. dealership has 3 of them 2 of them have been here since April!

And they tried for sooooo long to get $5k over msrp.

Time takes care of any dealer mark up.

They are taking $9k off msrp on all 2003 C5 vettes now.

Hype is what it is,,, HYPE........ it all comes out in the wash.

between 88-146lb loss

A tamer version also in usa called the Urban Jungle package will include air, keyless, bodycolored mirrors and handles.

They said only 3500 Evos were sold in usa last year?
About 700 Rs's is year.

2004 evo's get 315 amp 7 speaker Infinity with sub in trunk.
And Leather Recaro's!????

Also the RS has lsd front diff. They said it bites into corners harder.

There ya have it. Only a one page blip on the Rs.
$26,500-$27,095. Red or white is the only colors.
You should change "amp" to "Watt", there's a very big difference!
I hope that stereo system is optional.

So the biggest difference is the front lsd.
The weight savings doesn't seem to be that much. A new lightweight battery and turbo back would probably be compareable savings and give you more power.

Just curious. I'm not tied to a brand but have always wanted an Evo. The Z wasn't as much fun as the S2k I had before so when an opportunity presented it, bye Z. I must say I've had a different response to my trade from folks than you had. To thine own self be true.............

First of all I dunno why some of you guys hate the RS. I think its a great car just not for me and i believe in these numbers if not even better. When you dont have an AC you dont only lose wight but you gain power because the AC belt is driven by the engine.

I am very suspicious of the 0-60 times also. After a few more magazines test it out, the average will probably be 4.9.
