P0455 - need help!
Alright guys, this is a simple fix most of the time. I closed my fuel cap, same issue. Thought that it might be worn out, bought a new one. Issue still there. Now I'm at a loss, and I need your help. Why would I still have this issue?
which code is this again. I think I had that one and I bought the CEL eliminator from RRM and everything was fine and dandy for me. Its the one for the first cat going bad right. If not disregard my post.
well if your replaced it and your 100% that was the problem your supposed to get the code cleared after fixing it. this can be done by disconnecting the negitive of your battery for like 30 minutes or go getting it done from a obdII sensor. goodluck
Check to make sure all the lines to the evap canister are good and not cracked/loose/fell off. Also make sure the connectors are attached to the sensors behind the fuel rail on the intake manifold.

Your evap canister is located at the rear of your Lancer on the driver side (if memory serves correct). If you jack up the rear end of your car and get on a creeper you should see it tucked behind the rear bumper underneath. See the attached FSM diagram.

Checked this....everything looks good
I think I'm going to do an ECU reset and see if it will make a difference. Last time the guy from Auto Zone just erased the code...sigh

The most likely causes for this code to be set are:
Loose fuel cap.
Fuel cap relief pressure is incorrect.
Fuel overflow limiter valve failed.
Purge line or vapor line is clogged.
Fuel tank, purge line or vapor line seal failed.
Evaporative emission purge solenoid valve failed.
Evaporative emission ventilation solenoid valve failed.
Fuel tank differential pressure sensor failed.
Evaporative emission canister seal is faulty.

If this issue still exists, you will need to find a smoke machine or go to a shop that has one. There is no other way to diagnose this problem other than to guess and throw parts at it. The smoke machine will pressurize the emissions system with a highly visible white smoke, and the source of the leak will be clearly evident. If you can do this yourself by borrowing a machine, make sure to clamp off the canister vent hose, as it is normal for smoke to escape here.
If you can't do that or don't want to pay for it, and you just want to guess, then I would try an EVAP purge valve first.

My dang P0455 light started going off, I changed the gas cap...but it's popped up again. I guess it's either try to check the lines or take it to get a smoke machine test....I need to get the car inspected, so I'm just going set the obd2 stuff to "pass" for now, and fix this later, as long as the code isn't on, hopefully it'll pass.
