HELP! Laggy Throttle + Car Sputter Like Crazy

a couple days ago my car started acting up. sometimes my throttle would be laggy. i would try to accelerate and my car would take a couple seconds before it would respond. kinda feels like crazy turbo lag or something. then after a couple minutes of driving it would start to sputter like crazy when i would try to accelerate from a stop, but then after the sputtering it would finally begin to accelerate. i can also feel the car sputtering while i'm just cruising. at first i thought it was a boost leak so i got a new coupler for my LICP, but that didnt fix the problem. i regapped my spark plugs, but that didnt fix the problem either. then i thought my fuel pump was going bad so i installed a new one last night, still no luck. now i'm thinking my spark plugs are actually fouled. any other ideas guys? i installed an Invidia o2 housing and an AMS FMIC last week. not sure if any of those mods could be related to my issue.

It sounds like your car is sputtering because it is running too rich. Just because you replaced your coupler on the LICP doesnt mean your car is free of boost leaks. From my experience the only sure way to tell if your car is leaking is to perform a boost leak test. You would be surprised the amount of air ive seen rush out of my couplers even thought I thought they were on tight. You said you checked your plugs and regapped them? The plugs may be gone so it may not be a bad idea to replace them. What did you gap them to? Other than that the only thing I can think of is that your car just needs a retune since youve installed a couple different parts. Good luck and keep us posted.

Yeah I made a boost leak tester but the valve stem I used was defective. It doesn't let air in. Lol. I'm picking up spark plugs right now. I'll let you guys know what happens.

Sounds like a misfire. If your plugs are fouled sometimes the only way to cure that is to just get new ones.

How many miles on the car? It could be one of your coils going bad

Boost leak test based on assumption? Gotta get to it and stop wasting money on parts you may not need.

Boost test --> check for turbo shaft play -->check plugs --> compression test -->check tune
