just bought a turboxs TBE.

Hello,
Just got my turboxs TBE i ordered from their website for my Evo 8 .
Removed all stock pipes and found out that the stock cat converter flange and
diameter did not fit the turboxs pipe, my biggest concern was that the turboxs
downpipe and donut ring was too big to fit the stock turbo pipe.
Am I missing anything ? , or do I have to end up swapping a whole new turbo?

I run the TXS TBE, use the TXS donut gasket, it works. The stock cat is smaller than the exhaust- but the flange will bolt up. You need a high flow cat or test pipe to take full advantage of the TBE

Yes I believe if you are running 3" from DP down you will need high flow cat or test pipe so that the piping doesn't tapper down @ the cat. If you're for a test pipe Topspeed Autosports has some Invidia 3" TP for a good price shipped. I think there's also a few vendors here with high flow cats if you go that route.

Do I need to remove the stock donut gasket from the turbo pipe?,
even with the stock donut removed the diameter of the turbo pipe still be too
small for the txs donut gasket.

Remove old donut with flathead screwdriver, install new donut- yes it has a bigger outside diameter but the inside is the same. It will fit great when put together.

Shouldn't be welded....they can be a tight fit though...just pry it off with a pry bar or screwdriver...You need to pry between the "donut" and the flange on the turbo.

You might end up having to hack at it. Mine wouldn't budge either so i cut into it with the screwdriver I had and basically tore it apart so I could get it off the o2 housing.

Update !
Just recieved my test pipe and finish installing my TBE.
All I got to say is this thing sounds bad ***.
From the size of it I thought it was going to be obnoxious loud but it wasn't.
Not to loud nor quite.
