well? you can also turn on your a/c too. the lever does both depends which way you turn it.

lucky you yours was covered. i bought my car right when it was out of warranty. dumb previous owner never took it in to get it fixed. if the knob breaks like mine then to fix it you have to take the whole dash out, costs you about 7-9 hours of labor
