evo 8 problem need help plz

hi

i just took my evo for a little drive today.the road was clear so i thought to my self lets put my foot down.i put my foot down and next thing you know the car started to stall.i pulled over and the opened the bonnet.the hks mushroom filter was out of place and was kinda pulled down and back.is there a way to put it back to place or something.beause everytime time i put my foot on the accelorater you hear air coming out and the car doesnt even go as it did.so is there a way to put the filter back in place

pics of what its doing?

Make sure all your clamps are tight, sounds like you have a major leak and the maf isn't reading the airflow correctly... hope that helps.

Your going to need a hose clamp to hold it in place not a zip tie

If its coming off the filter itself the maybe your clamp is not tight enough, try using a t- bolt clamp

my top intercooler pipe was keep on poping off bc iam runing more boost and the clamps was old too....now i got a new one and its workin Great

you shouldnt need a tbolt clamp before the turbo; most cases worm clamps are sufficient. maybe you set it too loose. also my standard practice is i wipe off any clamping area with rubbing alchohol to remove any dirt and oil for better seal. also as said it looks like your intake overall isnt supported well, from the pic it almost looks like its sitting on top of the metal bracket.

Yeah, you need a clamp where that zip tie is. You are getting unmetered air after the MAF. Just put the clamp on and you should be fine.
