Call your cell phone company and ask if you have road side assistance. If you do get them to come out and you pay nothing. If you dont call them, tell them you want to add it, its only $3-$5, then call back get the guy to unlock it. Save $60-$80 dollars.

Not gonna lie, even tho I voted for getting another key I am currious to see if that works.

 

FYI. you cannot use your alarm remote once the key is in the ON/OFF whatever position. Once the key enters and the chime begins...your remote doesn't work.

Call a pro and have them open the door for you.

 

That's the info I was looking for - would it even work if I tried to back power it.... and apparently the answer is no. I got a locksmith to come out. I have roadside assistance through State Farm, so they will reimburse me. $55.

I did kinda wanna try the battery thing to see if it would work, but in the end it sounds like it wouldn't have worked anyway.
