English threads are often a half size bigger than metric. So, you may already have a hole ready for tapping. My Evo is the only car I've owned that hasn't so far ended up with a mix of English and metric threads. I can't say that about my Subaru.
If you are going to be working on cars a lot you need tap and die sets and you need to learn how to helicoil threads.

Ok good news I took it to my local shop here today and the guy took a quick look at it and then ran a tap threw it to clean up the thread then he put in a bolt that was not the original and whallla problem gone He said I was using the wrong bolt it took about 5 min for him to do it and I couldn't of been happier. But I still have a problem. With me shifting at high rpm it's really hard to shift. Should I get synhcromesh and adjust the clutch pedal or is their another problem here?
