Driving with P0420 code

I just got a P0420 code (catalyst efficiency below threshold) and will have to do the O2 mechanical fix.

I may not be able to fix it in the near future, so my question is whether there are any problems or risks to driving around with this code? (I can clear the code with my scanner, but I'm sure it will come back.)

just don't let you cat get clogged. it can cause excess heat build up and ruin the turbo.

you have a test pipe im assuming right? only thing youd have to worry about is you wont pass inspection until you either delete the code or get the fix

You can remove the rear one via a simulator. Which also removes that code....

agghggghh! no - you can set the rom to always show the catalyst system is working correctly... this is done by modifying the SOFTWARE. NOT BY adding electronics gizmos!

the original code was referred to a rear 02 simulator, or sometimes patch.

I have a HFC. And I was tuned at AMS a long time before the code appeared, so there was nothing to correct at that point.
