Its been a while - after 2 evos, in an Sti - my review...
My Review:
Wow, this STI rides gre.. *knock* BOOM. Tears and longing for a 4G63 ensue...
or
Hmm, this WRX isn't bad... Especially with the 50 extra horsepower i just add... *crack* SCREECH. Why can't I get this thing in gear?
Good enough?? I like reviews that get to the point..

I made the switch to an Evo from an 05 STI and couldn't be happier, the car has made a ton more power than my STI did with almost the exact same mods and the handling is as advertised.
-i've had two evos (3 mitsubishis) so i wanted something different. Life isn't about trying the same thing 3x. Although i wanted a racecar, i wasn't looking for the fastest thing out there. I wanted a fun dailiy driver.
-Visually, IMO - i always liked the STi's over the evos. the evo looks far too much like a lancer. the sti has a better body and appearance overall - hell most people think subarus are australian and can't even tell it's a japanese-made car.
-More comfortable DD. I even got the OEM shocks re-valved to be SOFTER around town because this is purely my DD. Sure i have my spirited runs but it's not what i bought it for.
It looks like the OP has 2 screen names. You're so fake dude, just stop it. We can clearly see what you're trying to do here.
^bingo. this whole sti vs evo isnt a rivalry. i wave at evos and evos wave back at me. i did the same when i had an evo. its just a matter of 2 nice cars and what your preference is. never understood the retarded bashing between the 2 cars..sounds like immaturity to me
I agree. I think we all have our preferences (we are entitled to our own opinion after all), but there is no reason to bash another person's choice. And if you're going to make statements that sound like facts at least let them be facts.
I've always liked STi's. They just aren't my cup of tea. The STi and Evo do similar things I just prefer the way in which the Evo does it. That's all.
Although as a DD I would be in an STi for sure. Luckily I don't DD my Evo. Hell i don't even drive my Evo during the day because of the heat. The Honda Fit I rock as a DD is much better for the duty. Plus I can't knock the around 40mpg I get with mixed driving.
and since ur too slow, ignorant, and unable to read properly...if u check my posts, i've owned two evos and gave evo the cred in where it deserves it and have love for BOTH cars
LOL oh really? so let's do an IP check and if i don't have two screennames, i get to have your mom and sister at the sametime....again

Seriously, this is pathetic. Get on with it and do something useful like clean my shoes.

Don't be mad and sure take my mom, my sister and my brother as well. I'm sure you'll love some **** in your life. It looks like you need it because obviously you're still arguing about a topic that is a decade old.

I have both cars. I drove my EVO for approx 33K miles in 2years. I have the boost set at 30psi all day eceryday and have run 12.400@113 in an original motor from valve cover to oilpan including turbo and manifold. It is the worst year turbo and the worst trans. When I got it the T-case was busted but it has a Shep Stg2 in it now with factory LSD. No issues. 93K miles and going strong.
I have an 04 STi I drove for 10miles and it spun a rod bearing. I got forged pistons and a new crank and rod for it. Evey suby I know that was modded has popped the motor. Suby is tough looking though. Also the reason they feel "responsive" is they are 2,5L motors with tiny turbos and short gears. They wind out fast and spool fast and the top end is weak so they feel torquey. EVO powerand is wider and smoother so it doesnt feel as fast but it really is faster. Both are cool cars but EVO is def a better chassis for performance. If I was into a pure DD with zero mods I would get a Legacy GT over both EVO and STi.
