Its been a while - after 2 evos, in an Sti - my review...
thanks
i have nothing against evos...i say again - i am not biased. theyre both GREAT cars period. Neither of them "suck". If one sucked that would mean the other one sucks cuz theyre so close in comparison.
Performance wise - i'd put my $$ on an evo. dollar for dollar the evo's 4G63 is far superior to the EJ. i was a hardcore evo-head so i'm not new to the world of evos whatsoever especially after owning 2 of them.
It depends what you wanna do with it - when i owned my evos, i wanted to do nothing but race, modify, and basically treat the car for what it was made for..unfortunately the 03 evos weren't too happy with that.
That was years back, i'm 24 now and i have more priorities in my life than modifying cars. I got the sti for a good price (WAY cheaper than my evos), its a more comfortable and practical car than the evo, the interior is better...and simply said - its hands down a better DD than an evo. its been said many times and i agree

Well...I love GD STIs and disregarding ringlands (06-07) for a minute... just admit it they handle like ***. Throw in a q-rack and it handles like *** but with a quick ratio. Maybe the AST / TiC SST coils will help. Gruppe N Tophats and bushings are a must. RSB is a must.
Now the GR STi, well, I'm not even going there. No forgiveness.

O Rly?? You gotta do a little bit more research before spreading your inaccurate message.
As far as I'm aware 03-04 Evo is slightly slower than the STi. The 05 is a little quicker and the Evo 9 is most certainly faster than ANY USDM STi.
My brother ran consistent 13.2's in his 9 MR with pretty much zero track experience.

you are right buddy, 03-04 evos are defitely slower than 04-05 STI
My brother used to have a heavily modded STi (Built motor, GT35R, cams)...thing was an animal. Unfortunately, he ran into some problems with it down the road, chose to sell it. The sound of that engine was awesome though, and the power was great (obv as a result of the mods)
My IX RS is definitely much better around the corners, and as we know, with a few bolt ons, you can get the IXs up to 300whp+ easily.
As for the Sti looking better than an evo? I think not...at....all!

I'm sure your Sti wont argue with that.
