which connectors should i clean? literately with a wire brush clean the connections hooked up to the starter and the battery terminals? i checked on my turbo timer today and the battery voltage says 12.6 which sounds right for a dry cell battery. I know this isn't a measure of amps but it sounds ok to me.
You can have great voltage readings but that does not mean the connections will carry current - not in the amount the starter requires anyway.
BTW, my experience is that the battery voltage can drop as low as 9 volts when the battery is cranking the engine.
